Interesting but inevitably flawed even with his criteria. The builders of the great pyramids at number three? Uhhh … could he be less specific than that? Music is also not in his universe. Beethoven way down at #23? And Stravinksy, as much as I love his music, shouldn’t even be in the top 50. No Mozart? No Bach? Give me a break. But at least the list will generate lots of enlightened discourse among any who read it. And if I wanted to be a complete smart ass, which I am, I would simply ask, why isn’t Jesus number one? A copy of it adorned my wall for many years. Gary Larson's ability to communicate visually is masterful. We are silly creatures that take ourselves so seriously and he played wonderfully with how our brains and perceptions can make fools of us all.
